What is BPC-157 and why is it called the “Wolverine” Peptide?

 BPC 157 is composed of 15 amino acids and was initially isolated from human gastric juice. Experimentally it has been shown to accelerate the healing of many different wounds, including tendon-to-bone healing and healing of damaged ligaments. 

It has been called the "wolverine compound" by many due to it's intense healing properties.
